This kit was a lot of fun
to experiment with because it only cost five bucks so I
wasn't afraid to ruin it. I repositioned the limbs
by boiling them in hot water
and twisting them
(I'll never do that again!), and in some cases just hacked
them off to reposition them.
Because the kit also came with some really lame-o
articulation.
I resculpted the neck
& puttied the arm joints.
The base was made using a plastic knitting grid and
hot glue.
I also added some slime with 5 minute epoxy glue. As
for painting, I used an undercoat of Americana acrylic
ebony black, and then drybrushed the whole thing with a
mixture of 'hammered iron' and 'blue/grey mist'. I
then painted the teeth and nails with a mixture of copper
and silver, which I also used to add some hightlights to
the body. The metal grate was painted with an
antiquing kit (iron-filled paint and a rusting agent), and
the slime was painted with 'fresh foliage', and then
covered with several coats of Future floor polish.
